Mimic is an accent training app. This page explains what the app collects and what it does not.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and a user id. We use Google Firebase for this. As you practice, the app records usage events, such as which exercises you open and whether an attempt passed, along with basic device information like phone model, system version, and app version. We use PostHog for this, with servers in the United States.
What we never collect
Your voice. Recordings are analyzed on your phone and never leave it. We have no copy of anything you say.
Why we collect it
To keep your account and progress working, to understand which parts of the app help and which do not, and now and then to email you and ask how the app is working for you.
What we share
Nothing. We do not sell data and we do not share it with anyone beyond the two services named above, which process it for us.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. This removes your account and the data tied to it. Without the app, follow the deletion steps or email us and we will handle it.
